Self Love Challenge - Day 2

It's day 2 of the self love challenge! How did yesterday go peeps? Did you get to 20 things on your list? Was it easier or harder than you expected? What did you learn about yourself from the exercise? For me, even though this was the second time doing this, it was still difficult to get to 20 things that I love about myself. That just tells me I need to give myself more affirmations. So in the morning I am committing to telling myself in the mirror one thing I love about myself. I will then write it on a post it note and post it around my mirror for the month.


So after yesterday, let's dive into day 2! See below for a reminder of the rules and the journal prompt for today.


Rules -

  • Journal each day using the prompt given.

  • Post a pic on instagram that accompanies the prompt (not required)

  • Complete at least 30 minutes of some physical activity that makes you feel good. That could be yoga, running, taking a walk, doing an online dance class. Whatever it is, just make sure you are moving intentionally for at least 30 minutes.

Journal Prompt: What makes you feel peaceful?


Here's my response:

Peace for me is when I can sit with my thoughts and be at ease with them. I can think clearly and understand the feelings or ideas running through my body. Those feelings and thoughts may not always be positive, but that is ok in that moment because being at peace allows me to understand why I am feeling those things. Those moments come for me at different times, on different days.


It could be a walk along the lakefront at sunset.


Or a bubble bath with some music in the background, the lights low and a candle lit.


Maybe, its dancing around the kitchen with my favorite playlist blasting as I crank out some recipes.



What are the moments where you can be alone or at peace to sit with your thoughts? Find that space and and then allow yourself to have that moment at least once a week. Trust me, it does a soul good!
